Job details
About this role
Role overview
Shape the language, narrative, and content systems behind a consumer financial product that requires clarity and trust. This hands-on staff role combines end-to-end content design with practice-building: you will write for key customer journeys, influence product direction early, establish standards, and use research and experimentation to make complex decisions feel understandable and actionable.
Responsibilities
- Create and refine content across landing pages, onboarding, checkout, post-purchase journeys, and detailed interface microcopy. - Develop a consistent narrative across long, high-consideration flows while balancing functional clarity with emotional reassurance. - Work closely with product managers, product designers, researchers, and analysts from early discovery through launch. - Present work to senior stakeholders, explain the reasoning behind content choices, and iterate collaboratively in real time. - Help establish content standards, voice-and-tone guidance, review practices, and stronger cross-functional writing habits. - Research customer needs through audits, competitive analysis, interviews, analytics, usability testing, and A/B experiments. - Use AI tools thoughtfully to accelerate ideation and production, share effective methods, and help define guardrails for reliable content generation.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of content design or content strategy experience with a strong independent portfolio. - At least 2 years working on direct-to-consumer digital products, with evidence of impact on conversion or revenue. - Excellent storytelling and information-architecture instincts for guiding users through complex journeys. - Ability to express regulated or complicated subjects in plain, compelling, human language without losing accuracy. - Strong presentation, facilitation, and real-time collaborative writing skills. - Genuine fluency and curiosity with AI writing and ideation tools, including prompt structuring. - A collaborative working style with a clear point of view; comfort working in Figma and within regulatory constraints.
Benefits and work setup
- Full-time U.S. base salary range of $147,000–$259,000, with actual pay determined by location, experience, skills, and education or training. - Remote work is supported.
