Role overview
Design and evolve a secure, cloud-first internal IT environment that supports a distributed organization. The role combines systems engineering, SaaS administration, endpoint management, automation, security operations, technical leadership, and hands-on support for complex issues and employee onboarding.
Responsibilities
- Design, administer, and improve cloud-based IT systems with strong availability, scalability, and security. - Manage SaaS, identity, collaboration, email, endpoint, and device-management platforms across the organization. - Strengthen access controls, device security, email protection, and modern network-security practices. - Automate repetitive workflows using scripting, APIs, and automation tools, including AI-powered agents where appropriate. - Lead cross-functional IT projects, document standards and runbooks, and mentor other team members. - Investigate escalated incidents through root-cause analysis and implement durable fixes; spend up to 20% of time on escalated support and new-hire onboarding.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in IT engineering, systems administration, or a comparable cloud-first environment. - Hands-on experience supporting SaaS infrastructure, macOS and Windows endpoints, and modern device-management environments. - Strong administration experience with Google Workspace, including Gmail routing, security, and deliverability. - Familiarity with Slack, Zoom, Okta, Jamf, Intune, Proofpoint or equivalent email-security tools, and Zero Trust Network Access approaches. - Proven ability to automate operational workflows with tools such as Python, Bash, APIs, or similar technologies. - Strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, asset-lifecycle, and technical leadership skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with AI orchestration, agent platforms, or AI-driven IT automation. - Experience with Proofpoint.
Benefits and work setup
- Remote position. - US base salary range of $91,000–$161,000, varying by location, experience, skills, and education or training.
