Financial Data Analyst

Role overview The role sits within an analytics team supporting branch-level financial performance for a fast-paced, mission-driven organization focused on transforming the construction industry through technology. The analyst partners with operations and finance stakeholders to surface insights from financial data, build new reporting tools, and identify opportunities to improve profitability across a network of branches.

Responsibilities - Build and analyze profit-and-loss statements for individual branches - Partner with operations teams to explain earnings drivers and financial outcomes - Review monthly branch financials, flagging risks and opportunities that affect profitability - Develop new processes such as forecasting models, trend analyses, and standardized reports - Design dashboards that surface actionable financial insights for branch leaders

Requirements - 4+ years of experience in data analysis roles - Advanced SQL skills including CTEs, joins, and subqueries - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field - Corporate finance exposure including forecasting, reporting, and analysis, with a strong understanding of financial statements - Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to extract key insights quickly from data

Nice to have - Familiarity with an analytical programming language such as Python, R, SAS, or SPSS
