Application Analyst I/II/Sr/Lead

Role overview

Application Analyst (I, II, Senior, or Lead) supporting the full lifecycle of business applications within an Agile IT environment. The role collaborates across technical teams and business stakeholders to keep applications stable, secure, and aligned with evolving organizational needs, with placement determined by the candidate's experience level.

Responsibilities

- Participate in analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance within an Agile IT environment - Collaborate with team members and leaders across departments on strategic initiatives - Ensure applications remain stable, secure, and continue to evolve with changing business needs - Identify and recommend opportunities for process and technology improvements - Monitor project deliverables and timelines, escalating risks and issues as needed - Maintain application documentation, infrastructure, dataflows, architecture, and technical procedures - Support integrations between systems and ensure accurate, efficient data flow - Provide end-user support including issue triage, root-cause analysis, and coordination with vendors or senior analysts

Requirements

- At least 1 year of experience with enterprise applications and analysis - Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, telecommunications, engineering, math, science, or a closely related technical field - Demonstrated ability to upgrade and maintain multiple applications - Proficiency with Microsoft Office, presentation tools, and documentation platforms - Strong critical thinking, analysis, problem-solving, and organizational skills - Excellent oral and written communication, customer relationship, and multitasking abilities

Nice to have

- Oil and gas industry experience - Exposure to SCADA systems, measurement technologies, and field-level devices - Familiarity with IoT, edge computing, and real-time operational data workflows including polling, protocols, and streaming
