Role overview Serve as a senior technology leader driving innovation and transformation for financial institution clients. The Banking Solution Architect partners with solution architects and digital consultants through pre-sales, shaping end-to-end solutions spanning mainframe modernization and digital services while ensuring regulatory and compliance adherence. Boston-based candidates are preferred.

Responsibilities - Understand financial institution client needs deeply and tailor architecture solutions accordingly. - Present mainframe modernization services and digital offerings to banking stakeholders, addressing objections tied to financial services requirements. - Develop proof-of-concept designs demonstrating value across the full IT landscape while preserving regulatory compliance. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams on multi-year transformation initiatives for banking environments. - Create reference architecture frameworks and templates for complex solutions specific to financial institutions. - Provide fully costed solution architecture that satisfies regulatory and compliance obligations. - Communicate progress and direction through formal presentations, collaborative meetings, and stakeholder content publishing. - Maintain documentation for IT activities, technology roadmaps, and regulatory considerations.

Requirements - 10+ years of solution architecture experience, with at least 5 years in financial services or banking environments. - Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. - Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or TOGAF. - Deep understanding of mainframe technologies and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). - Strong knowledge of banking regulatory requirements (PCI-DSS, FDIC, SOX, and similar). - Ability to align technical solutions with business objectives while maintaining compliance. - Comfortable engaging with C-suite stakeholders in banking organizations.

Nice to have - Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. - Proven experience with banking digital transformation initiatives. - Analytical thinking, adaptability, and a growth mindset.
