Role overview
Own the product strategy for integrations between a distributed energy platform and utility operational systems. You will turn fragmented data models, security requirements, and technical processes into a coherent integration surface spanning customer information, distribution operations, and grid flexibility systems, helping utilities onboard customers and distributed energy resources more efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Set and manage the roadmap for integrations across customer information, distribution management, and grid DER systems. - Extend internal capabilities into a cohesive, performant public API offering for utility and ecosystem partners. - Define enrollment automation that supports eligibility, onboarding, and lifecycle management for customers and distributed energy assets. - Improve developer and customer time-to-value through SDKs, quick-start material, test datasets, and clear documentation. - Partner with platform teams on data-model extensions needed for automation, analysis, and cross-product workflows. - Convert complex utility constraints and stakeholder input into clear product requirements and investment priorities. - Collaborate with product, engineering, data science, sales, solutions engineering, and client success teams.
Requirements
- Eight or more years of software product management experience. - Meaningful ownership of APIs, platform products, or third-party integrations. - Deep knowledge of utility operations, including familiarity with customer information and distribution management systems. - Comfort working through security, compliance, and IT governance reviews with client technical teams. - Proven ability to turn inconsistent requirements from multiple stakeholders into a focused product plan.
Nice to have
- Exposure to utility control-room operations, NERC CIP requirements, customer information systems, enterprise integrations, or solutions engineering.
