Senior Software Architect

Role overview

Set technical direction for enterprise SaaS products, shaping secure, scalable cloud applications and the architecture behind them. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role that combines system design, engineering mentorship, cross-team delivery, and the adoption of AI-assisted development practices.

Responsibilities

- Define architecture for cloud-native, API-first systems, including microservices and event-driven designs. - Guide teams building SaaS applications with attention to performance, security, reliability, and maintainability. - Work with product, engineering, architecture, and DevOps partners to make technical decisions and deliver software effectively. - Mentor experienced engineers and promote consistent engineering standards. - Introduce practical AI-assisted workflows for coding, testing, documentation, debugging, and refactoring; assess generated code and establish sound usage practices.

Requirements

- 12 or more years in software engineering, including at least 5 years as an architect or principal engineer. - Advanced experience with C#, .NET Core, Entity Framework, and Angular 16 or later. - Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases; Amazon DocumentDB is cited as a preferred example. - Track record designing enterprise SaaS systems with microservices, domain-driven design, CQRS, and event-driven architecture. - Cloud architecture experience with AWS or Azure, with AWS preferred. - Regular use of AI coding tools and workflows, familiarity with LLMs, RAG, MCP, or agent-based development, and strong communication and mentoring skills.

Nice to have

GraphQL, Kubernetes, Terraform, observability platforms, platform engineering, AI agent development, or an AWS Solutions Architect certification.
