Senior C#/.NET Engineer

Role overview Own backend and data work for a multilingual commerce operation serving customers and independent distributors across European markets. You’ll take business requirements from clarification through implementation, validation, and release, while handling complex commerce rules such as tax, subscriptions, refunds, and promotions. The role also includes reviewing other developers’ work and helping protect production quality.

Responsibilities - Develop backend features in C#/.NET using existing commerce APIs. - Clarify requirements, identify edge cases, test changes against production-like data, and manage releases. - Write and tune T-SQL queries, reports, and data checks in SQL Server, including use of a reporting replica. - Implement or support logic for country-specific VAT, multiple currencies, instalments, returns, recurring orders, promotions, and loyalty points. - Review code and support less experienced developers, serving as a quality checkpoint before release. - Work directly with the team in its repositories and sprint process; use AI tools for coding, tests, data checks, and code exploration while understanding each change shipped.

Requirements - At least five years of commercial C#/.NET development experience. - Strong SQL Server and T-SQL skills, including query optimization and work with large datasets and reports. - Experience with e-commerce or comparable business rules involving orders, payments, taxes, refunds, subscriptions, or promotions. - Demonstrated ownership of work from requirements through release. - Experience reviewing code and supporting less experienced developers. - Practical daily use of AI development tools, with the ability to explain their output and your changes.
