Job details
About this role
Role overview
Design and build reliable integrations that synchronize data across internal and third-party systems. You’ll own work from API contracts and data transformations through monitoring and reconciliation, choosing integration patterns that preserve accuracy and remain robust as systems change. This is a remote role based in Peru, with collaboration across global engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Define API contracts, data mappings, transformation logic, and synchronization approaches for end-to-end integrations. - Build integrations using REST APIs, webhooks, batch processing, and event-driven patterns. - Design for reliability with techniques such as idempotency, retries, ordering, backfills, versioning, and backward compatibility. - Validate data with SQL and PostgreSQL, and develop reconciliation, monitoring, alerting, logging, and observability practices. - Collaborate with internal engineers and external partners, document technical decisions, and recommend architecture improvements. - Use AI-assisted development tools to support engineering productivity and code quality.
Requirements
- At least five years of software or integration engineering experience. - Strong hands-on Python skills; Django experience is a plus. - Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and webhooks. - Strong SQL and PostgreSQL skills. - Experience with event-driven systems, batch processing, and reliable data synchronization. - Understanding of monitoring, logging, observability, and data reconciliation. - Practical experience with AI-assisted coding tools and fluent English for work with global teams. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience building developer platforms or public APIs, or working with distributed and high-availability systems. - Integrations with customer, rental, or property management platforms; familiarity with accounts receivable, financial reconciliation, or accounting systems. - Background in property technology, multifamily housing, or property management.
