Senior AI Integration Engineer

Role overview Build secure integration services that let AI agents work with enterprise systems. This remote role, listed for Bolivia, combines backend and API engineering with workflow orchestration, access controls, and production operations to deliver reliable cloud-based integrations.

Responsibilities - Develop reusable APIs, connectors, MCP tools, and service contracts for agent access to enterprise platforms. - Integrate agents with business systems such as document platforms, ERP, data platforms, and SQL services. - Implement workflow coordination, state management, retries, error handling, and automation. - Apply authentication, authorization, role-based access, source restrictions, least-privilege controls, and API governance. - Build for reliability and scale, with operational safeguards suitable for production use.

Requirements - At least five years in enterprise integration, backend development, API engineering, or platform engineering. - Strong proficiency in Python and/or .NET, with experience building REST APIs and microservices. - Hands-on experience with Azure Functions and Azure API Management. - Knowledge of MCP, workflow orchestration, and enterprise integration patterns. - Understanding of OAuth, authorization, role-based access control, API security, and least-privilege design. - Familiarity with Azure services, DevOps practices, secure API design, and cloud-native reliability; a relevant bachelor’s degree is listed.

Nice to have Experience integrating SharePoint, SAP, Databricks, or Azure SQL; building MCP servers or agent tool interfaces; designing event-driven or long-running workflows; or holding an Azure Developer or Integration Services certification.
