Technical Product Manager

Role overview

A remote-first consulting group is hiring a Technical Product Manager to lead strategy and delivery for custom enterprise software engagements. The role partners closely with client stakeholders, engineers, architects, and delivery leaders to shape product vision, prioritize work, and shepherd projects from concept through release. It is well suited to someone who enjoys translating business goals into technical execution within a client-facing consulting setting.

Responsibilities

- Define product roadmaps, vision statements, and backlogs in collaboration with client stakeholders and internal delivery teams. - Lead requirements discovery, then translate findings into Features, User Stories, and acceptance criteria that engineers can execute against. - Vet proposed work with architects and engineers to confirm feasibility, build cost estimates, and surface risks early. - Drive agile ceremonies and maintain backlog health, acting as a servant leader and adapting agile practices to each client's maturity. - Serve as the primary liaison for client executives, presenting solution concepts and communicating status, scope changes, and risks. - Mentor teammates, champion adoption of AI tooling across delivery workflows, and support sales pursuits on strategic accounts.

Requirements

- Seven or more years working as a Product Owner or Product Manager on custom software projects. - Hands-on background delivering enterprise web applications, with working familiarity of websites, APIs, databases, and cloud hosting concepts. - Demonstrated ability to estimate project cost and craft delivery plans across varied technologies, platforms, and hosting paradigms. - Strong technical writing, presentation, and verbal communication skills, including presenting to executive audiences. - Working knowledge of Agile principles and the software development lifecycle, with experience using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Trello, Basecamp, or Rally. - Practical experience applying AI tools within product, delivery, or project management contexts.

Nice to have

- Prior experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach. - Track record guiding multiple concurrent client engagements in a consulting environment.
