IT Engineer, US

Role overview The IT Engineer will drive automation-first thinking across the organization's recurring operational tasks, designing and shipping workflows that replace manual effort. The role sits at the intersection of systems administration, scripting, identity tooling, and applied AI, with a clear mandate to convert every repeated process into a reliable automated pipeline.

Responsibilities - Identify recurring IT and operational tasks and design automation workflows to replace manual execution. - Build and maintain scripts and integrations in Python and Bash to connect internal systems and services. - Develop and operate API-based integrations across the company's tool stack, handling authentication, data flow, and error handling. - Configure and extend Okta Workflows to streamline identity, access, and provisioning processes. - Apply AI coding tools to accelerate development, generate boilerplate, and prototype solutions. - Document workflows, monitor reliability, and iterate on automations as underlying systems evolve.

Requirements - Hands-on experience writing production-quality Python and Bash scripts for IT or operational use cases. - Working knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, and common integration patterns including authentication and rate limiting. - Practical experience with Okta, including Okta Workflows for identity and access automation. - Comfort using AI-assisted coding tools to speed up development without introducing security or quality regressions. - Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across operating systems, networking basics, and identity flows. - Self-directed mindset with a bias toward eliminating repetitive work through automation.
