About this role
Role overview A senior product role owning the connective tissue between an external vendor and compliance ecosystem and the engineering teams that build against it. The position turns dense vendor specifications and regulatory requirements into clear, buildable work while keeping documentation and data flows reliable across a clinical SaaS platform.
Responsibilities - Own documentation and runbook maintenance across vendor integrations such as e-prescribing, labs, and vaccinations. - Manage day-to-day vendor and compliance relationships, including project-managing integration and upgrade timelines. - Translate vendor specs and compliance rules into engineering-ready user stories with crisp acceptance criteria. - Partner with Design and Engineering on solution shape, weighing workflow and interaction tradeoffs before build. - Track product health and adoption metrics, sharing insights with engineering and product teams. - Speak directly with customers and internal stakeholders to validate that what is built solves the underlying problem. - Leverage AI tools to accelerate documentation, requirements drafting, and stakeholder communication.
Requirements - 3 to 5+ years as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Technical Program Manager in healthcare tech or another regulated industry. - Strong data and technical fluency, including comfort reading API docs, writing or interpreting SQL, and tracing data flow diagrams end to end. - Experience with vendor or compliance relationship management. - Working knowledge of scrum and agile practices, including user stories, backlog management, and planning. - Familiarity with healthcare data standards such as HIPAA, HL7, or FHIR. - Detail orientation with the ability to catch edge cases and ambiguous acceptance criteria.
Nice to have - Experience building lightweight automations using tools like Zapier, Make, or Retool. - Background in support or technical case triage. - Prior experience in formal vendor negotiation or contract management.
