Job details
About this role
Role overview Design, build, and operate the cloud platform that supports enterprise AI systems on a client engagement. This senior platform engineering role spans Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, delivery tooling, reliability, and cost management, with direct collaboration with client infrastructure engineers and responsibility for the platform in production.
Responsibilities - Build and operate a Kubernetes platform defined in Terraform, including ongoing ownership after deployment. - Lead platform architecture discussions and investigate ambiguous engineering problems, raising issues when they emerge. - Create self-service workflows so delivery engineers can use platform capabilities without waiting on platform support. - Manage reliability through service-level objectives, observability, incident response, and cost oversight. - Work with client engineers through planning, daily coordination, code and design reviews, and retrospectives.
Requirements - At least five years in infrastructure, platform, or site reliability roles, including three or more years operating production Kubernetes. - Practical Kubernetes experience with cluster design, workload lifecycle, access controls, secrets, and multi-tenancy. - Production infrastructure-as-code experience, primarily with Terraform, plus Helm or Kustomize. - Deep experience with at least one major cloud platform, including networking, compute, managed databases, identity and access management, and cost awareness. - CI/CD and GitOps experience, such as operating Argo CD, Flux, or an equivalent tool. - Observability and reliability skills covering metrics, logs, tracing, service objectives, and incident response. - Bash and either Python or Go, along with security practices for secrets, supply-chain risks, and vulnerability scanning. - Able to communicate technical decisions with client architects and engineers.
Nice to have - Service mesh, multi-cluster, or multi-region experience. - Consulting or professional services background; production AI/ML or agentic workload experience; or experience with sovereign cloud, data residency, or public sector infrastructure.
Benefits and work setup - Full-time, remote role open to candidates in the EU. - Work on one client project at a time in a team of approximately two to six engineers.
