Senior Software Engineer

Role overview Build AI-native tools and agent workflows that help software engineers deliver and operate software more effectively. As part of a developer experience function, you’ll identify sources of friction across engineering teams, develop automation to address them, and measure whether the changes improve speed, reliability, or quality.

Responsibilities - Design and operate tools, systems, and processes that reduce manual effort and improve software delivery. - Build multi-step agent workflows with clear inputs and outputs, validation points, and human review where needed. - Apply LLM APIs, MCP patterns, and AI-assisted development environments to engineering workflows. - Integrate AI-assisted features into CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions to improve builds and code feedback. - Partner with engineering teams to identify high-friction work, implement automations, and measure results. - Add logging, monitoring, and evaluations to AI features; document proven patterns so teams can adopt them consistently.

Requirements - At least four years of professional software engineering experience, including three or more years building infrastructure or internal tools for developers. - Fluency in Python or Go and firsthand understanding of engineering workflows and common sources of toil. - Production experience building and deploying LLM-powered or agent-based systems, including multi-step or tool-augmented workflows. - Experience integrating LLM APIs and understanding tradeoffs in context, latency, cost, and safety. - Experience with GitHub Actions or a similar CI/CD platform, including code or pull-request automation. - Regular use of AI-assisted development tools, plus the ability to define meaningful metrics and run experiments to evaluate impact.
