Solutions Engineer - Strategic Accounts (Remote, Minnesota)

Role overview A Solutions Engineer role supporting Strategic Accounts in the Minnesota region, partnering one-to-one with a Strategic Enterprise Account Executive to drive four major accounts. The position is a customer-facing technical sales role focused on advanced observability, demo execution, proof-of-concept delivery, and supporting the broader go-to-market motion through events and partner enablement.

Responsibilities - Deliver technical presentations and demos that show how the observability platform addresses customer pain points, including on-stage demos at industry events and partner-sponsored events - Partner with sales representatives to identify new opportunities and expansion plays within existing accounts - Lead the technical solution evaluation portion of proof-of-concept (PoC) engagements and cloud architecture discussions, supporting multiple POCs either directly or via channel partners - Provide technical guidance across the discovery, solution evaluation, and solution proposal stages of the sales cycle - Complete RFIs and RFPs, and present the platform's vision to C-suite executives at customer accounts - Relay customer feedback and market signals to Product Management to inform roadmap and market-fit improvements - Act as a trusted technical advisor for partners, coaching their teams and serving as a point of contact in joint customer engagements

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent education/experience - 3+ years of experience within the observability or application performance management space - Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate technical value into business value - Ability to troubleshoot technical issues end to end and manage multiple projects in parallel - Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time - Strong desire to grow professionally and adapt in a fast-changing environment

Nice to have - Experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript - Programming or scripting experience with Java, .NET, PHP, Go, Node.js, and databases - Advanced knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems - Familiarity with DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering practices - Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP - Experience with containers, Kubernetes or OpenShift, serverless functions, and CI/CD pipelines - Experience with automation tooling like Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform
