Remote job
AI Platform Engineer (EU/UK Based - Remote)
Job details
About this role
Role overview
Own the platform systems that allow AI agents to carry out enterprise workflows reliably, quickly, and safely in production. This applied AI engineering role spans agent execution, orchestration, evaluation, and observability, with responsibility for real-world quality, reliability, latency, and cost.
Responsibilities - Develop the agent runtime, context management, tool execution, and orchestration capabilities. - Build evaluation pipelines and test harnesses that measure quality, surface regressions, and support safe releases. - Improve system prompts and observability so teams can understand agent behavior across end-to-end workflows. - Own sandbox behavior and runtime logic, coordinating with the team responsible for sandbox infrastructure and capacity. - Ship and operate production systems using language models, retrieval, and agent orchestration; monitor outcomes and iterate. - Reduce model usage and operating costs, including by selecting lower-cost models or running open-source models on company GPUs.
Requirements - Hands-on experience making LLM-based systems reliable in production, including work with prompts, context, tools, or agent orchestration. - Track record of taking ambiguous AI problems through building, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and iteration, with measurable results. - Ability to design around non-deterministic outputs, context limits, and tool failures while managing reliability, cost, and latency. - Experience designing evaluations that detect regressions, measure quality, and use meaningful test sets and failure categories. - Strong debugging skills across model behavior, data pipelines, and infrastructure. - Sound judgment when choosing whether to build or integrate AI infrastructure, and ability to adapt as models and providers change.
Nice to have - Experience designing and operating distributed systems with high throughput or complex failure modes. - Strong security judgment for AI systems.
Benefits and work setup - Remote work is supported, with coworking space reimbursement; the role is listed for candidates based in the EU or UK. - The position includes frequent travel to an office in Prague, team offsites, and conferences. - Compensation includes a competitive salary and equity; AI tooling is funded, and employees have autonomy to pursue mentoring and learning opportunities. - Work on a production enterprise AI product spanning voice, browser and computer use, reasoning, and long-running agents.
