Senior Systems Engineer

Role overview A senior systems engineering role focused on designing and delivering a high-performance, minimal-footprint network sensor for operational technology and industrial control system environments. The position blends systems engineering discipline with hands-on build, packaging, and deployment work for production-grade on-prem systems.

Responsibilities - Design lightweight, efficient build workflows for artifacts, dependencies, and reliable product delivery - Collaborate with other development teams to deliver cohesive solutions aligned with engineering standards - Apply systems engineering principles across concept, development, validation, delivery, and support phases - Support production deployments and incident response when required - Plan and guide implementation of engineering solutions, including deployment, resource needs, testing, documentation, integration, and compliance - Ensure maintainability and post-deployment stability of the team's product - Track emerging technologies and industry best practices within the domain

Requirements - 5+ years of experience in system design, build, and integration - Extensive Linux packaging and package manager experience, including compiling and packaging code from source - Strong experience with configuration management tools and concepts - Experience with artifact management (e.g., Artifactory) and language-specific package formats (Linux packaging, cargo, go build, npm, Maven/Gradle) - Deep Linux configuration expertise with kernel parameter tuning and systemd service management for resource-constrained deployments - Experience deploying and maintaining on-prem AI/ML systems, including model serving infrastructure in constrained network environments - Industry-standard CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions preferred) - Container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure) - NGINX ingress configuration and management in Kubernetes environments - Strong scripting in Python, Bash, and Makefile - Modern programming language experience, with Rust preferred - Solid understanding of networking concepts
