Product Business Analyst | Luma

Role overview A scientific software platform is hiring a Product Business Analyst to support its Luma product line, a multi-tenant SaaS platform that unifies science data and data science for research and discovery teams. The role bridges Product and Engineering within an Agile delivery framework, translating complex requirements into well-defined user stories that enable high-quality releases.

Responsibilities - Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, QA, UX Designers, Scientists, and other stakeholders to understand objectives and requirements - Gather, analyse, challenge, and document business and user requirements ready for development - Translate epics into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and supporting analysis in Jira and Confluence - Refine and maintain the product backlog, partnering with Product Managers to prioritise and prepare work - Analyse business processes and user workflows to identify product improvement opportunities - Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives - Support User Acceptance Testing and use product analytics and customer feedback to inform future improvements

Requirements - Strong Business Analysis experience within B2B Enterprise SaaS products - Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery teams - Skills in requirements elicitation, process analysis, and user journey mapping - Ability to write high-quality user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional documentation - Experience with backlog refinement, prioritisation, and close collaboration with Product Managers - Strong stakeholder management across Product, Engineering, QA, UX, and business teams - Confidence working independently and driving ambiguous requirements to clear outcomes - Experience with Jira and Confluence or similar Agile tooling

Nice to have - Exposure to scientific software, scientific data platforms, ELNs, LIMS, or Life Sciences software - Experience building wireframes or lightweight prototypes in Figma or similar tools - Familiarity with Databricks or BI tools such as Power BI, Sigma, or Spotfire - Experience with model-driven or multi-tenant SaaS applications - Interest in applying AI tools within day-to-day work
