NetSuite Systems Engineer -Czechia(contract)

Role overview A global cloud technology company is bringing its financial systems engineering in-house and hiring a hands-on systems engineer to own the configuration, business logic, and automation of its finance platform stack. The role centers on NetSuite today, with FloQast and Ramp slated to come online, and treats the engineer as the dedicated technical partner to Finance and Accounting. This is a contract position based remotely, ideally aligned with US Eastern, UK, or Ireland working hours, reporting into the Enterprise Systems team.

Responsibilities - Administer and operate core financial systems, owning configuration, business logic, and day-to-day health across NetSuite and upcoming platforms such as FloQast and Ramp. - Identify recurring or error-prone finance workflows (month-end close, reconciliations, reporting, procure-to-pay) and reduce them through automation, partnering with engineering for heavier builds when needed. - Serve as the finance-domain subject matter expert, partnering with engineering to define and maintain business rules, canonical data definitions, and integration logic. - Build and maintain cross-system integrations on a central, version-controlled, observable integration platform rather than scattering one-off scripts across tools. - Act as the dedicated systems partner for Finance and Accounting, translating business needs into platform capability and owning vendor onboarding and administration. - Use modern AI tooling to draft automations and accelerate routine system work, treating automation as a core part of the role rather than a side task.

Requirements - 3-6 years administering a financial or ERP system, with hands-on NetSuite administration experience covering configuration, customization, roles, permissions, and workflows. - Working knowledge of core NetSuite modules such as General Ledger, Advanced Revenue Management, Accounts, and subsidiary or multi-location structures. - Experience designing custom records, fields, SuiteFlow automations, and managing the NetSuite integration ecosystem. - Solid grasp of finance and accounting processes including month-end close, reconciliation, accounts payable, and revenue. - Demonstrated drive to automate repetitive work using scripting, saved searches, workflow tools, or low-code/iPaaS platforms. - Comfort with SuiteScript, SQL, general scripting, or API-based automation, plus the ability to reason about integrations built by engineering. - Strong collaboration and communication skills bridging finance and engineering teams; fluent English.

Nice to have - Prior administration experience with FloQast and/or Ramp. - Background working against a central integration platform or in event-driven environments. - Hands-on use of AI coding and automation tools in daily work. - Deeper SuiteScript (1.0/2.0), RESTlets, or NetSuite web services expertise.
