About this role
Role overview A customer-obsessed Partner Solutions Engineer who serves as the technical bridge between a software vendor and its ecosystem of resellers, OEMs, system integrators, and strategic alliances. The role leads pre-sales discovery, designs custom solutions, enables partner technical teams, and acts as a trusted advisor across the full partner lifecycle, collaborating with internal Sales, Product, and GTM teams to scale partner-led growth.
Responsibilities - Lead pre-sales discovery and design partner-aligned solutions, translating partner business models and objectives into platform-fit architectures and proof-of-value engagements. - Deliver technical enablement programs for partners, including product updates, hands-on bootcamps, shadowing sessions, certification pathways, and instructor-led training tracks. - Run joint demos, technical presentations, and PoCs for partner-led sales cycles, while managing evaluations and escalating technical roadblocks to support and product teams. - Co-create enablement plans with partner sales leaders, including milestone tracking, role-based training modules, and Expert Sessions to share product updates and best practices. - Build strategic relationships with partner architects and executives through roadmap alignment sessions, technical QBRs, and ongoing account management. - Foster a technical partner community through roundtables, regional events, and content contributions on professional networks, blogs, and forums.
Requirements - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. - At least 10 years of experience in B2B SaaS or platform vendor roles in technical pre-sales or solutions engineering, including 5+ years in partner-focused positions. - Strong hands-on proficiency with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Bash, REST APIs, webhooks, OpenAPI/Swagger, Git, JSON/YAML, basic SQL, and tooling like Postman, Docker, and VS Code. - Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and core networking concepts (HTTP, DNS, auth, proxies). - Familiarity with CRM/CX platforms (Salesforce, Zendesk, Intercom, ServiceNow, HubSpot), DevOps tooling (Jira, GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins), and collaboration tools (Slack, Notion, Confluence). - Consultative mindset with strong communication skills, comfortable presenting to technical and executive audiences and mentoring partner technical teams.
Nice to have - Experience prototyping with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, MCP) and designing prompt-driven or LLM-based workflows. - Exposure to conversational AI, ticket deflection and triage, AI assistants, or other GenAI use cases. - Frontend familiarity with React, Tailwind, Flask, or HTML/CSS, plus experience with low-code platforms and workflow builders. - Background modeling AI-driven workflows for incident resolution, product feedback cycles, and end-to-end service operations. - Comfort with up to 75% travel, including international trips as partner needs require.
