Job details
About this role
Role overview A senior engineering position focused on advancing signal and power integrity for next-generation high-speed digital interfaces. The work centers on rigorous electromagnetic simulation, PCB design collaboration, and developing practical guidelines that help ensure robust performance in advanced hardware platforms operating at the leading edge of data rates. The role partners closely with PCB layout teams to deliver reliable server, data center, and networking systems.
Responsibilities - Run high-frequency electromagnetic simulations for emerging interfaces at 224Gbps and 448Gbps using tools such as Ansys HFSS and Keysight ADS - Perform detailed power delivery network (PDN) analysis with industry-standard simulation software - Validate signal integrity for advanced PAM4 (56Gbps, 112Gbps) and NRZ (≥25Gbps) interfaces, including eye diagram, jitter and noise analysis, and S-parameter correlation between simulation and measurement - Develop, apply, and document best practices in impedance control, transmission line design, PCB stack-ups, and practical manufacturing processes - Produce precise technical documentation covering simulation approaches, findings, and recommendations to support the hardware development lifecycle - Collaborate with PCB layout engineers to evaluate and optimize board layouts for signal and power integrity in server, data center, and network hardware platforms
Requirements - At least 5 years of hands-on experience performing signal integrity simulations for high-speed digital systems - Proficiency with Ansys HFSS, Cadence Sigrity, PowerSI, Ansys SIwave, and Keysight ADS - Demonstrated expertise with high-speed digital links, including PAM4 (56Gbps, 112Gbps) and NRZ (≥25Gbps) - Strong knowledge of signal and power integrity methodologies, PCB stack-up optimization, impedance control, and fabrication or process constraints - Solid organizational skills and strong technical documentation capabilities
Nice to have - Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience - 8+ years of experience with end-to-end signal and power integrity analysis for high-performance electronic hardware - Background authoring comprehensive design guidelines for ultra-high-speed interconnects and electronic systems - Experience collaborating directly with PCB fabrication vendors on complex impedance-controlled board layouts
Benefits and work setup - Competitive compensation package across all operating regions - For United States-based team members: premium PPO and HMO medical insurance, dental and vision coverage, flexible spending accounts (FSA), life insurance, and short- and long-term disability insurance - Company-matched 401(k) plan - Generous paid time off policy - Commitment to equal opportunity and fostering an inclusive workplace
