A senior pre-sales engineering role on a US-based team, partnering with Account Executives to drive complex mid-market and enterprise opportunities. Responsibilities
- Own the technical strategy across discovery, architecture, demonstrations, proof-of-value, security reviews, and technical close. - Lead technical discovery and architecture conversations with engineering, security, infrastructure, and executive stakeholders. - Prepare and deliver product demonstrations, workshops, technical presentations, and proof-of-value exercises. - Design and validate deployment approaches across web, mobile, API, CDN, cloud, and hybrid environments. - Configure trial environments, analyze traffic and logs, and recommend effective solutions based on customer requirements. - Partner with Account Management, Sales, Customer Experience, Product, Engineering, and Marketing, and help mentor other Solutions Engineers through reusable demos, frameworks, and competitive guidance.
Requirements
- 5+ years in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or a similar customer-facing technical role; candidates with 3+ years may qualify if they have demonstrated ownership of complex enterprise evaluations. - Experience supporting complex enterprise sales cycles in SaaS, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, networking, developer tooling, or a related technology environment. - Strong understanding of web technologies, HTTP, APIs, networking, cloud architecture, CDNs, reverse proxies, and modern application infrastructure. - Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for both technical and non-technical audiences. - Strong consultative selling skills with a track record of handling technical, security, and business objections. - Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior technical and executive stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Background in cybersecurity, bot management, fraud prevention, WAF, DDoS protection, CDN, observability, or application performance. - Familiarity with log analysis and observability tools such as Kibana, Elasticsearch, or Grafana. - Hands-on experience with Apache, Nginx, Varnish, IIS, Lambda@Edge, CloudFront, or comparable web and edge technologies. - Work with mobile applications, APIs, or multi-cloud and multi-CDN environments, including security, fraud, or infrastructure teams.
