About this role

Role overview A process manufacturing software company is hiring a Lead Salesforce Architect to own both the platform architecture and the team that builds on it, with Salesforce serving as the system of record for selling, servicing, and renewing across a growing portfolio of business units. The role is hands-on and reports to the CISO, partnering with Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Finance, and Operations to translate business strategy into a multi-year platform roadmap. A major near-term focus is leading the migration to Revenue Cloud while integrating acquired business units onto a single instance.

Responsibilities - Own the architecture and delivery of the migration to Revenue Cloud, including target-state revenue process design, product and pricing model, data migration, and a phased rollout that avoids mid-quarter disruption. - Set the multi-year Salesforce platform roadmap, make build-versus-buy and build-versus-configure recommendations, and select AppExchange solutions and implementation partners. - Own integrations and data architecture connecting upstream and downstream systems, including middleware strategy, master data management, and data governance. - Lead the architectural onboarding of acquired companies and new business units, including environment assessment, target-state design, migration, consolidation, and data conversion. - Establish architectural standards, design patterns, governance, and a release and DevOps strategy spanning source control, sandbox management, and deployment pipelines. - Lead, develop, and retain a team of Salesforce administrators; set ways of working around intake, prioritization, documentation, peer review, and definition of done.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, a related field, or equivalent experience. - 5+ years on the Salesforce platform, including time in an architecture or lead solution design capacity. - 2+ years leading a team, managing direct reports, or equivalent leadership experience. - Hands-on experience with Salesforce CPQ internals (amendment and renewal logic, subscription pricing, the quote-to-order data model) and with Revenue Cloud or Revenue Lifecycle Management. - Experience integrating acquired companies or new business units onto an existing Salesforce instance. - Track record architecting and administering complex Salesforce environments with multiple integrations, plus excellent communication skills from end-user to executive level.

Nice to have - Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect credentials, or demonstrable progress toward them. - Experience leading a migration or replatform of an existing quoting, pricing, or revenue system.
