Role overview

This senior pre-sales role partners with account executives to shape the technical strategy for large enterprise customers in the travel, hospitality, retail, and consumer goods sectors. The position focuses on guiding organizations toward broader adoption of data, analytics, and machine learning capabilities through a unified data and AI platform. Success in this role means acting as the lead technical voice across a portfolio of major accounts while mentoring other team members.

Responsibilities

- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for up to nine large enterprise clients in the travel, hospitality, retail, and consumer goods space. - Define and execute the technical account strategy in alignment with overall sales direction and customer goals. - Lead customers through a transformational journey, from initial evaluation through expanded platform adoption. - Build and nurture a community of technical champions within each account to drive grassroots momentum. - Coordinate cross-functional technical resources, including hands-on engineers who deliver proofs of concept and product demonstrations. - Provide structured mentorship to peers and junior team members across the solutions architecture practice.

Requirements

- Six or more years of experience working with very large enterprise accounts (greater than $1 million in annual recurring revenue), ideally in retail or consumer goods. - Four or more years in a pre-sales or sales-supporting capacity, with a track record of value-based selling. - Deep technical background in big data, data science, and cloud computing. - Three or more years of hands-on design and implementation work with technologies such as Hadoop, NoSQL, massively parallel processing systems, OLTP, OLAP, or end-to-end data science solutions. - Production-level programming experience in Python, R, Scala, or Java. - Demonstrated ability to drive data-led business transformation and influence change with data.
