Role overview
A senior, expert-level Solutions Architect role within a Digital Native Business unit, focused on the most complex strategic enterprise accounts. The position combines deep technical authority in data and AI platforms with executive-level account leadership, competitive strategy, and horizontal mentoring across the field engineering organisation.
Responsibilities
- Drive technical and consumption strategy for the most complex customer engagements, directly influencing platform adoption and revenue growth. - Own senior technical relationships as a trusted advisor on enterprise data and AI strategy with directors, VPs, and C-level stakeholders. - Lead the toughest architecture engagements, including multi-workload platforms, enterprise-wide migrations, real-time systems, and AI/ML at scale. - Serve as a platform expert with a declared technical specialisation, mentoring other architects and shaping horizontal practice. - Develop and execute competitive strategies against incumbent and emerging platforms, and orchestrate cross-functional delivery teams. - Contribute to field engineering thought leadership through customer-facing content, workshops, and community engagement.
Requirements
- 8+ years in solutions architecture, principal engineering, technical pre-sales leadership, or a senior customer-facing technical role. - Expert-level coding in Python, SQL, and ideally Spark or PySpark, demonstrated through a live coding assessment and platform build. - Deep expertise in enterprise data architecture: distributed systems, streaming, lakehouse design, data governance, and cloud-native platforms. - Expert-level knowledge of a major data and AI platform, with a declared specialisation such as real-time architectures, ML/AI platforms, governance, or large-scale migrations. - Proven track record driving consumption growth in large accounts and leading competitive displacements and complex enterprise evaluations. - Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline, or equivalent experience.

- Relevant industry certifications on major data or cloud platforms. - Background at a top-tier data, AI, or cloud organisation. - Published thought leadership such as blogs, conference talks, or open-source contributions. - Strategic account experience with executive-level domain credibility.
Benefits and work setup
- Local pay range of approximately $219,100 to $301,300 USD, with eligibility for performance bonus, equity, and region-specific benefits. - Interview process includes a recruiter screen, hiring manager screen, design and architecture interview, live coding assessment, a build/demo/pitch presentation, and reference checks.
