Role overview
This is a hunter-focused Solutions Architect role supporting customers in the Communications, Media, Entertainment, and Games (CMEG) sector. The position blends deep technical expertise with strategic advisory work, driving adoption of a unified data and AI platform across new and growth accounts from initial discovery through production deployment. The architect is expected to develop an emerging technical specialization while partnering closely with pre-sales engineers, partners, and product teams.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end technical strategy across assigned accounts, from discovery through deployment and consumption growth - Lead complex architecture discussions designing scalable, production-grade solutions spanning data engineering, ML/AI, and real-time analytics - Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customer architects, engineering leads, and directors - Drive wins in competitive scenarios by demonstrating platform differentiation through custom-built solutions - Develop and declare a technical specialization (e.g., streaming, ML/AI, data governance, migrations) and act as a go-to resource for the team - Coordinate cross-functional pre-sales resources and partners to deliver comprehensive solutions for complex customer needs - Channel structured customer and competitive feedback into product direction
Requirements
- 6+ years in solutions architecture, data engineering, technical pre-sales, or a senior hands-on technical role - Strong coding proficiency in Python and SQL, with demonstrated live coding, debugging, and solution-building skills - Deep expertise in distributed data systems, lakehouse patterns, streaming architectures, and cloud-native data platforms - Proficiency on the company's data and AI platform, or demonstrated ability to ramp quickly, with a developing technical specialization - Proven ability to lead architecture discussions with senior technical stakeholders, including whiteboarding, design reviews, and trade-off analysis - Production deployment experience on AWS, Azure, or GCP, including infrastructure, security, and governance considerations - Track record of driving platform adoption and consumption growth within accounts - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline (or equivalent experience)
