Role overview

A senior pre-sales technical role partnering with global telecommunications clients on the most complex platform engagements in the field. The architect serves as the definitive technical authority for assigned accounts, owning executive relationships, shaping consumption strategy, and guiding enterprise data and AI adoption across multi-workload and migration projects. The position blends deep technical depth with strategic account leadership and horizontal influence across a regional team.

Responsibilities

- Define and drive technical and consumption strategy for the most complex telecommunications accounts, directly influencing platform adoption and revenue growth. - Own senior-level technical relationships as a trusted advisor on enterprise data and AI strategy. - Lead advanced architecture engagements spanning multi-workload platforms, large-scale migrations, real-time systems, and AI/ML at scale. - Build and execute competitive strategies against incumbent and emerging platforms in the telecom vertical. - Coordinate cross-functional teams, including field engineers, partners, and product, to deliver enterprise-grade solutions. - Mentor junior architects and contribute to thought leadership through customer-facing content, workshops, and community engagement.

Requirements

- 8+ years in solutions architecture, principal engineering, technical pre-sales leadership, or a senior customer-facing technical role. - Expert-level proficiency in Python and SQL, ideally with Spark or PySpark; candidates complete a live coding assessment and platform build during interview. - Deep expertise in distributed systems at scale, streaming and real-time architectures, lakehouse design patterns, data governance frameworks, and cloud-native platforms. - Recognized depth in a declared technical specialization such as real-time architectures, ML/AI platforms, data governance, large-scale migrations, or industry-specific solutions. - Demonstrated success growing consumption and adoption in large enterprise accounts, with executive presence among Director, VP, and C-level stakeholders. - Willingness to travel approximately 30% to customer sites and a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

- Relevant data platform certifications or equivalent depth on competing platforms with rapid learning ability. - Prior experience at major data, AI, or cloud organizations.
