About this role

Role overview

A junior IT operations role supporting a fast-growing software company's internal infrastructure across the EMEA region. The position owns the end-to-end device and access lifecycle, from new-hire laptop setup through final offboarding, and is responsible for building repeatable systems rather than relying on ad-hoc fixes. It is a foundational seat with real ownership, partnering with security and people teams to keep endpoints, identities, and records in order.

Responsibilities

- Provision and de-provision user accounts across the SaaS toolset for new joiners and departures, making onboarding and offboarding consistent. - Run the full device lifecycle, including hardware procurement, mobile device management enrollment, international shipping logistics, repairs, and end-of-life recycling. - Enforce endpoint security standards such as disk encryption, activation lock, and device compliance checks, keeping policies aligned with security leadership. - Keep audit-ready records of access and assets, spotting and resolving mismatches in serial numbers, license counts, and access logs before they escalate. - Coordinate complete offboarding by revoking system access, retrieving hardware, and confirming nothing is left open. - Manage vendor relationships and contracts for IT services and hardware insurance, including invoice review and forecasting. - Support employees across time zones with clear, prompt responses on hardware requests, access issues, and general IT questions.

Requirements

- 0–2 years of experience in IT support, IT operations, systems administration, or a technical helpdesk. - Hands-on comfort with device management tooling and the Google Workspace admin console, including user and group administration. - Working understanding of endpoint security fundamentals such as disk encryption, activation lock, and compliance policies. - Strong attention to detail, with the discipline to follow discrepancies in serial numbers, licenses, or logs through to resolution. - Clear written English and the ability to coordinate with employees, vendors, and internal teams across time zones. - Organizational self-direction when handling many concurrent tickets and threads.

Nice to have

- Hands-on experience with a named MDM platform such as Jamf, Kandji, Fleet, or Intune. - Exposure to SOC 2 or ISO 27001-style access reviews or audit work. - Basic scripting ability for automating repetitive provisioning or reporting tasks. - Prior experience in a high-growth startup environment.

Benefits and work setup

- Remote-first working environment with offices available in New York, Amsterdam, and Munich. - Equity participation in the company. - €60 monthly phone and internet allowance. - Location-specific benefits package. - Collaborative culture with a builder mindset and direct exposure to leadership.
