Director, Technical Program Management

Role overview A Director-level individual contributor role leading technical program management across an entire engineering organization that builds an AI-native data security platform for enterprise data, including endpoint, browser, SaaS, and cloud environments. The role sets the strategy for release predictability, owns executive-level operating cadences, and combines hands-on program leadership with systems-level thinking about metrics, reporting, and AI-enabled automation. It operates as a peer to engineering leadership rather than through direct reports.

Responsibilities - Own end-to-end planning, execution, and coordination for the most complex, multi-team, cross-organizational engineering programs, partnering directly with engineering and product leadership. - Architect and run the engineering operating cadence, including monthly and quarterly business reviews, consolidating team updates, preparing leadership readouts, and driving follow-through on action items. - Define and standardize organization-wide metrics around quality, release health, and velocity, improving predictability while leaving room for team-specific measures. - Establish data hygiene and governance in tools such as Jira so that release, ownership, status, and progress signals remain reliable at scale. - Drive the design of AI-assisted dashboards and automations that connect planning, source control, collaboration, and ticketing tools to surface delivery signals across the engineering organization. - Mentor and influence other program managers and engineering leaders, raising the bar on operating discipline, accountability, and reporting consistency without formal management authority.

Requirements - Extensive experience leading technical program management or engineering operations with executive-level reporting and decision support responsibilities. - Excellent written and verbal communication, with a history of owning quarterly and monthly business reviews and cross-functional status reporting. - Deep familiarity with Jira-based workflows, reporting, and process hygiene at enterprise scale. - Strong judgment in prioritization, escalation, and leadership support within ambiguous or fast-moving contexts, with credibility to influence senior stakeholders. - Comfort using automation and AI to improve reporting quality, operating efficiency, and recurring workflows. - Prior experience operating at Director or Principal level as an individual contributor, ideally in security, SaaS, endpoint, platform, or infrastructure-heavy environments, with familiarity supporting globally distributed engineering organizations.

Nice to have - Familiarity with DORA-style metrics, SLO and SLA thinking, release hygiene, and delivery scorecards. - Experience building AI-assisted dashboards, automations, or reporting systems end to end.
