Role overview
This position is part of a growing Professional and Managed Services team delivering AI-powered data protection to enterprise customers. The Data Protection Analyst investigates insider-threat signals and endpoint forensic incidents, analyzes data security events, and helps customers operationalize a Data Detection and Response platform to reduce data loss. The role is well suited to a technically deep, client-obsessed communicator with SaaS data-protection experience who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert on data protection security issues and external DLP market trends, translating insights into customer value. - Analyze platform event data to improve policies and incident alerts, surfacing areas where data loss risk may exist. - Partner with clients to develop incident response workflows aligned to their security objectives and policies. - Refine datasets and policies as customers' data risk strategies mature and business needs evolve. - Identify trends and drive requirements that improve detection and response policies over time. - Prepare and present formal summaries of findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Collaborate with product and engineering teams on strategies for monitoring and preventing data loss, and reduce false positives in analytic output. - Provide forensic analysis on people, groups, and non-sanctioned egress destinations as requested.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience working with data protection products, with knowledge of endpoint protection best practices and incident mitigation workflows. - Experience advising on security issues affecting data protection and insider risk, including both accidental and malicious actions. - Expertise with DLP, Insider Threat, and CASB solutions, plus familiarity with SIEM and SOAR integrations. - Strong understanding of macOS, Linux, and Windows environments. - Experience performing technical analysis and managing documentation and project management aspects of incident response. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce management-level presentations on investigations. - Customer-centric mindset, strong empathy, and ability to collaborate effectively within a global, cross-functional team.
