Sr. Software Development Engineer (Ruby on Rails/Java)

Role overview Build and evolve software products that improve digital experiences for care teams and the people they serve. In this senior engineering role, you’ll collaborate with product, design, and engineering partners in an agile environment, delivering scalable cloud applications and services from design through implementation.

Responsibilities - Design and develop consumer-facing products using Ruby or Java/Kotlin. - Build scalable, cloud-native microservices in distributed environments. - Use unit and integration tests to support reliable software delivery. - Collaborate with product and design partners to turn ideas into working applications. - Work within agile and DevOps practices, using AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality. - Apply telemetry and observability to understand system behavior and guide decisions.

Requirements - At least six years of experience building large consumer-facing products with Ruby or Java/Kotlin. - Experience with distributed cloud environments on Azure or AWS and containers such as Docker or Kubernetes. - Experience building scalable microservices and working with MongoDB or PostgreSQL. - Experience with unit and integration testing and agile or DevOps environments. - Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as coding assistants. - U.S. work authorization; a computer science degree or equivalent relevant education or experience.

Nice to have - Familiarity with Ruby, GraphQL, AWS DevOps, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB. - Experience with React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or full-stack development. - Strong understanding of observability and telemetry.
