Senior Software Engineer, Security Assurance | Ireland | Remote

Role overview Build software and systems that make security controls, compliance, and risk visible and actionable across a cloud-based software business. This hands-on engineering role spans security assurance, internal tooling, and the integration of safeguards into applications, infrastructure, and development workflows. The position is remote and open to candidates based in Ireland.

Responsibilities - Build and maintain automated assurance programs that support organizational and regulatory requirements. - Develop tools and observability systems to show security posture and strengthen control management. - Integrate security checks and practical guardrails into engineers’ daily workflows and build pipelines. - Work with security and engineering teams to apply controls across the software development lifecycle, cloud, applications, and software supply chain. - Contribute across certifications, application and build security, cloud security, and internal security tooling.

Requirements - Strong hands-on software development experience; this is a technical engineering role. - Ability to build, implement, and improve security systems and automation. - Experience or capacity to work with security programs in cloud-based software environments. - Willingness to learn unfamiliar standards and requirements; relevant frameworks may include ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, NIST, and PCI-DSS. - Ability to collaborate across security, engineering, and other stakeholder groups.

Nice to have - Experience improving the maturity of a security or compliance program in a SaaS organization. - Familiarity with security standards and regulatory frameworks. - Experience advising or negotiating with peers, stakeholders, customers, or auditors.
