Software Engineer III (Mobile - React Native)

Role overview A senior mobile engineering position focused on building and evolving cross-platform React Native applications that power online banking experiences on iOS and Android. The role blends hands-on coding with architectural leadership, integrating mobile clients with backend services and third-party platforms used by financial institutions. Responsibilities - Lead the design, development, and rollout of large-scale mobile projects and cross-platform features integrated with backend systems. - Define mobile architecture, API contracts, and integration approaches, assessing risks around performance, compatibility, and third-party dependencies. - Establish and enforce engineering standards for React Native, TypeScript, mobile performance, accessibility, and responsive design. - Drive Agile and CI/CD practices across the mobile team while mentoring peers on scalable mobile development patterns. - Shape mobile UX, architecture, and integration strategy in collaboration with product, design, and business stakeholders. - Contribute to modernization efforts that update legacy mobile technologies and integration layers.

Requirements - 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong track record delivering scalable mobile applications. - 4–5 years of hands-on React Native and TypeScript experience, including work with REST APIs, backend services, and third-party integrations. - Solid engineering fundamentals across clean code, maintainable architecture, performance tuning, testing, reliability, security awareness, and documentation. - Experience working in or alongside financial systems, banking platforms, core integrations, or other regulated technology environments. - Bachelor's degree in software engineering or a related field, or equivalent industry experience. - Strong communicator who collaborates effectively across engineering, product, design, QA, security, architecture, and business teams, and who can balance delivery, support, technical debt, and quality in an Agile setting.

Nice to have - Background influencing mobile UX or architecture strategy in online banking or comparable consumer finance products. - Familiarity with evolving parts of the TypeScript and React Native ecosystems and modern mobile tooling.
