Security Developer, Identity and Access Management

Role overview

Develop the tools, workflows, and automation that make employee access secure, auditable, and easy to manage. Working within an identity and access management function, you will replace fragmented manual processes with self-service capabilities, lifecycle automation, and integrations that scale across corporate and engineering environments.

Responsibilities

- Build and maintain access-request and approval workflows that allow system owners to manage permissions efficiently. - Create self-service APIs, command-line tools, and lightweight interfaces for provisioning and deprovisioning access. - Automate onboarding, offboarding, and role-change processes through integrations with HR systems and identity providers. - Develop centralized audit logging and access-review capabilities to support visibility and compliance reporting. - Connect identity workflows with existing security platforms and shared infrastructure. - Partner with security, IT, and platform engineering teams to improve usability, security, and scalability.

Requirements

- At least 3 years of software engineering experience, including internal tooling, automation, or platform services. - Proficiency in Python or another backend language, with experience developing APIs and integrations. - Practical knowledge of workflow orchestration, approval systems, or business-process automation. - Familiarity with IAM concepts such as SSO, SCIM, RBAC, OIDC, and SAML. - Understanding of cloud platforms and infrastructure-as-code practices.

Nice to have

- Experience automating identity-provider configuration through platforms such as Okta or Microsoft Entra ID. - Background building developer self-service portals that simplify operational tasks. - Exposure to just-in-time or time-bound access, zero standing privilege, privileged access management, or relevant identity and security certifications.
