Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE)

Role overview

Build practical, high-impact technical solutions from ambitious or loosely defined use cases. This role combines customer-facing discovery with hands-on software engineering: you will clarify needs, prototype solutions, test feasibility, and help move promising ideas toward production readiness while contributing reusable patterns for future work.

Responsibilities

- Refine customer requirements into clear use cases, solution concepts, and technical plans. - Create working prototypes and proofs of concept across APIs, data pipelines, and front-end or back-end systems. - Translate business and architectural requirements into functional, testable implementations. - Evaluate feasibility, performance, scalability, and technical constraints through rapid experimentation. - Iterate on prototypes to improve solution quality and accelerate production readiness. - Collaborate with technical engagement, architecture, and internal product teams, sharing patterns and implementation lessons.

Requirements

- At least 7 years of hands-on experience in software engineering, systems integration, or a related technical field. - Strong prototyping ability across APIs, data flows, and full-stack application components. - Experience delivering results in ambiguous, high-impact environments where rapid iteration is important. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an experimentation-oriented approach.

Nice to have

- Experience working directly with customers in technical consulting, solution engineering, or similar roles. - Ability to connect business objectives with detailed technical execution. - Curiosity about emerging approaches and a record of helping influence product or platform evolution.
