QA Engineer (Contract)

Role overview A contract QA Engineer is needed to support a MarTech practice focused on enterprise platform delivery, with an emphasis on digital asset management (DAM) migrations and content platform implementations. The role partners directly with project managers and developers to interpret requirements, run structured test cycles, and surface defects before work reaches the client. It is scoped as a junior-to-mid-level engagement suited to someone who values disciplined execution and clear documentation over deep platform specialization.

Responsibilities - Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely feedback on testability and completeness before development wraps. - Build detailed, well-structured test plans and test cases tailored to DAM migration, content platform, and integration workstreams. - Execute test cases and record results in a clear, traceable format that other team members can follow. - Identify, log, and track defects with thorough documentation so developers can act quickly and unambiguously. - Estimate, prioritize, and coordinate testing activities within Agile sprint cycles and contribute QA findings to retrospectives. - Track quality metrics and stay current on testing tools and strategies relevant to CMS and DAM platform delivery.

Requirements - 2 to 4 years of experience in a QA Analyst or QA Engineer role on digital platform or web development projects. - Demonstrated ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases. - Familiarity with Agile and Scrum processes, including comfort participating in sprint ceremonies. - Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira. - Strong written communication skills, with defect reports that stand on their own without verbal explanation.

Nice to have - Familiarity with Adobe Asset Manager or Adobe Experience Manager (helpful but not required); experience with any DAM or CMS platform is valued. - Exposure to performance or security testing methodologies.
