About this role
Role overview Own product features from an early customer or business problem through design and release. The work spans frontend, APIs, backend services, and data models for a platform supporting construction procurement, including complex tender and pricing information. You’ll work closely with Product, Design, and Data, with room to shape both technical solutions and user experience.
Responsibilities - Define feature scope and acceptance criteria, then take solutions through to production. - Design and build data models, APIs, and backend services that handle complex domain data reliably. - Implement user-facing interfaces using an established design system, making interface decisions with limited specification. - Partner with Product and Design on strategic initiatives and turn them into shipped product capabilities. - Develop modular packages and services within a monorepo, contributing to the codebase’s architecture. - Use customer feedback and data to resolve uncertainty and guide product decisions.
Requirements - Significant professional experience building, shipping, and maintaining complex web applications with TypeScript, React, and Node.js. - Ability to work across the stack, including frontend, APIs, and backend services. - Experience taking loosely defined problems from initial scope through delivery to users. - Strong backend skills in data modeling and service design, with attention to performance, reliability, and maintainability. - Good product judgment, user experience sensibility, and comfort working through ambiguity. - Clear communication skills in English and a practical, evidence-driven approach to problem solving.
Nice to have - Experience delivering product features that use large language models or agents. - Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and continuous integration and delivery.
Benefits and work setup - Fully remote work or an office option in Berlin, with flexible hours. - Permanent employment, company off-sites and team events, and a new MacBook Pro. - Compensation is described as above market, with no specific amount provided. - Engineering practices include trunk-based development, frequent releases, Cypress end-to-end testing, strict typing and linting, and infrastructure managed as code.
