SR QA Engineer

Role overview Provide senior-level quality assurance expertise for enterprise software delivered through desktop and web applications. The role works with Agile/Scrum product and engineering teams to plan testing, validate new functionality, maintain regression coverage, and help resolve defects across releases.

Responsibilities - Advise Agile/Scrum teams on testing during sprint planning, delivery, and retrospectives. - Develop test strategies and comprehensive test cases for new features in desktop and web environments. - Lead coordination with regression testing and automation contributors to maintain quality across releases. - Execute manual test scripts and create or maintain automated tests. - Analyze failed test runs, document defects, and gather diagnostic information to support engineering investigation. - Follow privacy, security, ethics, and internal policy requirements when working with confidential information, including health information.

Requirements - At least 10 years of experience in a software development organization, including 7 years testing multi-tier, database-intensive enterprise applications in a Microsoft environment. - At least 2 years of Agile/Scrum testing experience. - Practical experience with test automation for Windows desktop and web applications, plus a programming or scripting language such as Selenium, C#, VB.NET, PowerShell, TypeScript, jQuery, or JavaScript. - Hands-on SQL scripting experience; Microsoft SQL Server is preferred. - Knowledge of XML and XSLT processing, and strong written and verbal communication skills. - A four-year degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have - Experience with non-relational databases, virtual machines, cloud platforms, healthcare IT, medical coding, or HL7 standards. - Familiarity with technologies such as COM+, ASP.NET Web API, Angular, or Node.js.
