Director, Cloud Infrastructure

Role overview Lead the design and hands-on rebuild of cloud, delivery, and AI infrastructure supporting customer-facing products and venue operations. The role combines strategic platform decisions with implementation, setting standards that product and corporate engineering teams can use to ship reliably and operate services with clear ownership.

Responsibilities - Replace manual releases with an automated CI/CD path covering builds, deployment, and rollback. - Define and migrate source control, CI, orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code practices; document key trade-offs. - Establish access controls, audit trails, secrets handling, environment separation, and practical recovery procedures. - Build and operate an AI gateway for provider routing, credentials, rate limits, usage metering, and logging. - Enable AI-assisted, specification-led development with ephemeral environments, rapid feedback, and automated checks. - Track cloud and AI costs, improve observability and incident ownership, and support applications used by venue networking teams.

Requirements - At least nine years building and operating production cloud infrastructure. - Deep AWS experience, including multi-account environments, networking, IAM, and EKS and/or ECS. - Experience handling production incidents, upgrades, and growth. - Ability to communicate technical decisions and trade-offs to engineering, business, and executive audiences. - A collaborative approach to code review, pairing, mentoring, and sharing operational knowledge. - Practical use of AI agents for multi-step work, with the ability to verify their output against real systems.

Benefits and work setup The position is described as hands-on, highly autonomous, and without direct reports at present. The listed base salary range is $180,000–$220,000, with a stated total rewards range of $198,000–$242,000 including an annual performance bonus.
