Job details
About this role
Role overview Build the data foundation that helps business teams and AI-powered tools get consistent, trusted answers. This analytics engineering role spans the full data path—from ingestion and transformation to metrics, access controls, monitoring, and self-service analytics—and partners closely with teams across finance, sales, operations, and venue management.
Responsibilities - Configure and maintain data connectors, load source data, and resolve schema changes, failed loads, and other ingestion issues. - Build and document dbt transformations through bronze, silver, and gold layers, shaping curated data around how the business operates. - Define shared metrics, dimensions, and relationships so dashboards, search, and conversational tools use consistent definitions. - Create self-service data models and dashboards, and turn real business questions into tests for analytics quality. - Maintain a set of representative questions and approved answers; run regression checks when models or semantic definitions change. - Apply data tags and access policies, monitor freshness and quality, and tune pipelines, queries, and warehouse usage.
Requirements - At least 3 years in analytics engineering, data engineering, or BI development, delivering data products used for decisions. - Strong SQL skills and production experience building and maintaining dbt models. - Experience with a cloud data warehouse; Snowflake experience is preferred. - Familiarity with ELT ingestion tools such as Fivetran and troubleshooting source issues like schema drift, delayed data, or API limits. - Understanding of data quality, documentation, governance, and access controls. - Ability to work with business partners, clarify needs, and use AI agents for scoped data work while reviewing results to the same standard as human work.
Nice to have - Experience testing large language model or natural-language analytics answers with golden question sets or regression suites. - Background in hospitality, events, real estate, or another customer-facing business with multiple locations.
Benefits and work setup - Listed salary range: $120,000–$160,000, with eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Pay may vary by location and experience. - Health coverage, wellness and family planning support, paid parental leave, paid time off, and a year-end holiday closure. - Retirement plan with employer match, education and certification support, career development, recognition programs, and volunteer opportunities.
