Program Manager, Security Operations (Remote)

Role overview A fully remote Program Manager role for an individual based in California, Nevada, or Arizona, leading embedded security operations personnel across multiple client programs. The position coordinates between internal teams, security vendors, and client stakeholders while owning the full lifecycle of embedded staff and the delivery of protective services.

Responsibilities - Manage groups of embedded employees, contracted vendors, and ad hoc service providers across client accounts - Recruit, screen, onboard, and offboard embedded security and intelligence personnel, including approving timesheets, invoices, and expense reports - Serve as the primary relationship manager with client managers overseeing embedded staff, maintaining open lines of communication about service issues and deliverables - Conduct regular check-ins and provide mentorship, performance feedback, and performance improvement plans as needed - Design and draft proposals with budgets, develop internal policies, escalation protocols, and training for protective operations globally - Identify gaps in processes and resources, then build methodologies to address them as part of broader program strategy

Requirements - 10+ years of experience in the protective security industry, law enforcement, or similar government service - 5+ years of supervisory experience managing and mentoring diverse teams - Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent industry experience - Eligible to obtain a California BSIS Armed Guard Card and CA CCW; armed security credentials in Nevada or Arizona are also preferred, along with HR218 eligibility - Ability to travel up to 30% of the time domestically and internationally - Proficiency with Google Suite and Monday.com, plus the ability to learn new web-based tools quickly

Nice to have - Experience with high-net-worth family or corporate protective details - Background in corporate security, military, law enforcement, or overseas environments - Familiarity with human resource practices and managing employees placed within client organizations
