About this role
Role overview A senior solutions architect role within a professional services organization, designing and delivering large-scale data protection, cyber resilience, and information management engagements for enterprise customers. The position combines solution architecture, customer-facing consulting, and complex implementation work across hybrid and multi-cloud environments, with a focus on backup, recovery, ransomware protection, and compliance use cases.
Responsibilities - Architect and design global deployments of enterprise data protection software and SaaS offerings, including new solution features delivered as services. - Engage with customers to understand their data and information management environments, then design or remediate solutions for modern data protection, multi-cloud capability, archive and compliance, ransomware and disaster recovery, and operational improvement. - Advise customers on cyber recovery, build agreed recovery proposals, and drive implementation of those solutions. - Author high- and low-level design documentation for complex enterprise architectures and assess readiness against technical prerequisites before project execution. - Perform data migrations transitioning customers from legacy backup infrastructure to new platforms, and lead diagnosis of complex product, system, and integration issues. - Develop software automation to replace manual processes, and contribute to best practices across peer teams and partner vendors.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, plus proven hands-on software architecture experience. - Demonstrable experience designing and/or operating enterprise data protection solutions, with consulting experience in backup, recovery, and data management. - Public cloud experience across Azure, AWS, or GCP, plus hands-on experience with SAN/NAS storage hardware and networking fundamentals including topologies and firewalls. - Experience with server platforms such as Windows and Linux, hypervisors like VMware, Hyper-V, and OpenStack, and container platforms including Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Docker. - Proficiency with backup and recovery requirements for on-premises applications such as Exchange, SharePoint, MSSQL, and Oracle, as well as cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365, Salesforce, and OneDrive or Google Drive. - Strong experience with DevOps and modern CI/CD approaches, performance and monitoring tooling in Microsoft Azure, agile development, and building/testing complex software platforms.
