Role overview A senior Workday Reporting and Analytics professional who leads the delivery, optimisation, and continuous improvement of reporting solutions across a portfolio of managed services clients. The role combines deep hands-on reporting expertise with customer leadership, operational support, and mentoring, helping organisations extract greater value from their Workday investment through scalable reports, dashboards, and data-driven insight.
Responsibilities - Act as the Workday Reporting and Analytics subject matter expert, providing strategic guidance and best practice recommendations across multiple managed services clients. - Lead the design, enhancement, and optimisation of Workday reports, dashboards, analytics, and data-insight solutions. - Support day-to-day managed services activities including incident handling, service requests, enhancements, escalation management, and reporting-related configuration. - Build complex reporting solutions using Workday Report Writer, Calculated Fields, Matrix Reports, Composite Reports, Dashboards, Discovery Boards, and BIRT. - Partner with client stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into scalable reporting outcomes, while mentoring consultants and contributing to internal knowledge assets.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, eligibility for SC Clearance (UK resident for the past five years and legally entitled to work in the UK), and willingness to travel on-site when needed. - 5+ years of Workday Reporting and Analytics experience spanning implementation and/or managed services support, including post-production and long-term client engagements. - Active Workday Reporting Certification, ideally complemented by HCM, Financials, Prism Analytics, or Reporting & Analytics certifications. - Deep expertise in Workday Report Writer, Calculated Fields, Matrix Reports, Composite Reports, Dashboards, Discovery Boards, and BIRT. - Strong analytical, troubleshooting, consulting, stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and provide functional leadership across multiple engagements. - Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills, plus the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced managed services environment.
Nice to have - Experience advising clients on reporting strategy, governance, report rationalisation, automation, and self-service reporting capabilities. - Background supporting data extraction, validation, reporting security, and tenant migrations. - Familiarity with guiding customers through Workday releases and assessing reporting impacts.
