Role overview
A customer-embedded engineering role focused on helping large mechanical engineering organizations get more value from a collaborative engineering platform, with particular emphasis on AI-assisted review and workflow tools. The position partners directly with enterprise customers to diagnose complex problems, prototype new ways of working, and turn successful approaches into repeatable playbooks the wider team can scale.
Responsibilities
- Embed with enterprise customers to optimize usage of AI tools such as AutoReview and Operator, tailoring adoption to their workflows - Investigate and resolve complex engineering data and integration challenges spanning PLM, ERP, QMS, and design feedback systems - Partner with a cross-functional team including a technical program manager, software forward-deployed engineer, and customer-facing staff to close technical gaps - Feed product gaps and improvement ideas back into product teams, helping shape roadmaps and refine AI features - Build technical documentation, playbooks, and repeatable frameworks based on successful customer engagements - Apply mechanical engineering expertise to validate AI-generated outputs and uphold engineering rigor
Requirements
- Background in mechanical design engineering, ideally inside a medium-to-large organization - Strong understanding of PLM systems and enterprise engineering data architecture - Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and cross-functional collaborations - Experience working directly with customers or internal stakeholders to solve technical problems - Comfort operating in fast-changing, ambiguous environments - Strong written communication and documentation skills - Working knowledge of high-level AI architecture, especially large language models - Familiarity with APIs, data integrations, and enterprise architecture concepts
Nice to have
- Experience with internal tool development, scripting, or automation - Exposure to AI or machine learning tools applied to engineering workflows - Prior work in design consulting or product development at scale
