Project Manager (Data Center)

Role overview A global data center operator is hiring a Technical Project Manager to lead delivery of complex infrastructure and platform initiatives within its Platform Engineering organization. The role centers on turning ambiguous technical initiatives into structured delivery plans, coordinating cross-functional teams and stakeholders, and keeping work aligned with portfolio priorities, timelines, and engineering goals across distributed, multi-phase programs.

Responsibilities - Own end-to-end delivery of platform engineering and infrastructure initiatives, including planning, sequencing, risk management, and status reporting. - Build and maintain milestone schedules and work breakdown structures that span design, procurement, delivery, installation, testing, and handover. - Collaborate with vendors, architects, and infrastructure teams to gather site requirements, review technical designs, close gaps, and validate timelines. - Coordinate contractors and external partners across structured cabling, systems integration, and ISP circuit delivery activities. - Decompose initiatives into epics, work packages, and sprint-sized tasks, and keep project tracking accurate inside Jira. - Manage cross-team dependencies, risks, blockers, and scope or design changes, including their impact on schedule, cost, and standards compliance. - Run Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives, and support continuous improvement of delivery processes. - Own site acceptance and handover to Operations, including required documentation and as-built materials, and report status to engineering leadership and PPMO stakeholders.

Requirements - 5+ years of experience in technical project or program management, ideally with infrastructure, platform, or systems engineering teams. - Strong practical experience with Agile delivery, including running ceremonies and managing team workflows. - Hands-on proficiency with Jira, including epics, sprints, story points, and dashboards. - Demonstrated ability to build and maintain work breakdown structures for complex, multi-phase technical programs. - Comfort reading technical designs related to network, systems, or cloud infrastructure and assessing scope, dependencies, and sequencing. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical teams and senior leadership. - Ability to start the workday between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM CET/CEST.

Nice to have - Experience in construction and ability to read blueprints. - Familiarity with portfolio or roadmap tools such as BigPicture or Advanced Roadmaps. - Background in data center, network infrastructure, hyperscale, or edge computing environments. - Familiarity with governance and intake processes within PMO or PPMO structures. - PMP, CSM, or equivalent certification.
