Mobile Software Engineer (Android)

Role overview

This role sits inside a mobile engineering team working on one of Europe's largest e-commerce platforms, a high-traffic shopping application used by millions of customers daily. The mission is to natively integrate partner ecosystems directly into the core mobile app, expanding the marketplace experience for buyers while keeping interactions secure and performant. It is a hands-on Android engineering position focused on customer-facing flows, identity, and partner connectivity.

Responsibilities

- Design and implement fluid customer experience flows and custom native dashboards within the Android application. - Build and maintain secure identity verification sequences that protect user accounts and sensitive actions. - Develop robust deep-linking mechanisms and secure webview integrations to safely connect the mobile app with external partner systems. - Consume and integrate remote B2B RESTful APIs to expose partner functionality through the native client. - Optimize UI performance and ensure smooth, responsive interactions across a wide range of Android devices.

Requirements

- Strong knowledge of the Android platform with deep expertise in Kotlin and/or Java. - Extensive experience consuming and integrating remote B2B RESTful APIs in mobile clients. - Proven experience with secure session management, secure webviews, token handovers, and OAuth flow implementations on mobile. - Ability to build smooth, high-performance user interfaces for consumer-facing applications. - English proficiency at a minimum B2+ level.

Nice to have

- Familiarity with mobile app accessibility guidelines (a11y) on Android. - Previous experience in e-commerce apps, mobile subscription flows, or native payment SDKs.
