Product Engineer

Role overview

This is a Product Engineer position on a small, senior engineering team that powers a learning platform used by more than four million people. The role is built around end-to-end ownership of entire product areas, from initial concept through full-stack implementation to measuring impact after launch. It suits an engineer with a founder's mindset who wants meaningful autonomy, fast shipping cycles, and direct influence on what gets built.

Responsibilities

- Drive complete product areas from problem definition and design choices through implementation, launch, and post-ship metrics - Build across the full stack, from user interface to infrastructure, selecting appropriate tools for each job - Make product and technical decisions, not just translate specifications into code - Ship features to millions of users within days rather than quarters - Integrate AI-assisted development tools into the daily workflow to move quickly - Shape the long-term direction of the product alongside the team

Requirements

- Track record of shipping complete production products end to end, not only contributing to existing ones - Strong full-stack capability, comfortable owning UI through infrastructure - Outcome-oriented thinking, focused on what to build and why, not just how - Self-directed mindset: identifies what matters and moves on it without waiting for detailed specs - Writes code that holds up under real users and meaningful scale - Comfortable working asynchronously as part of a remote team

Nice to have

- Built a product that generated meaningful revenue (your own or for an employer) and can walk through the story - Previously founded a company or ran a serious side project as if it were one - Background in education, learning products, or consumer applications - Experience building with or on top of AI
