Solutions Engineer - São Paulo, Brazil

Role overview Partner with sales teams to shape and advance technical opportunities for enterprise data and analytics platforms. The work spans customer discovery, architecture design, demonstrations and proofs of concept, helping organizations assess solutions for managing and analyzing data across cloud and private environments.

Responsibilities - Work with account executives to understand prospective customers’ business drivers, technical needs, and constraints. - Lead discovery sessions and requirements workshops, then design and explain architectures tailored to customer use cases. - Deliver demonstrations and hands-on proofs of concept that connect technical capabilities to business outcomes. - Coordinate with product, engineering, services, support, training, marketing, and sales colleagues to support customer engagements. - Share customer feedback with product teams and contribute to technical selling strategies and knowledge resources. - Participate in technical community activities, such as blogs, meetups, and industry events.

Requirements - At least five years in a customer-facing presales, technical consulting, sales engineering, or solutions architecture role, working with enterprise customers. - Experience with technical discovery, architecture whiteboarding, demos, and hands-on proof-of-concept work. - Familiarity with Hadoop ecosystem technologies such as HDFS, YARN, Spark, Hive, Impala, Kudu, or Solr. - Experience with at least one public cloud environment and with Linux, virtual machines, bare-metal systems, or container platforms such as Kubernetes or OpenShift. - Understanding of data lakes, data warehousing, SQL, relational databases, and application integration; basic Java, Scala, or Python experience. - Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to have - Knowledge of enterprise security and data governance, open-source development, NoSQL databases, data science and machine learning, or data integration and streaming tools. - Familiarity with private cloud infrastructure and competitive data platforms; interest in earning a public cloud certification.
