Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain reliable data pipelines and warehousing solutions that support UK business growth - Work with high-volume real-time data powering fast consumer quoting flows - Translate requirements alongside data scientists, analysts and software engineering colleagues - Influence the choice of modern data tooling and contribute across multiple internal teams - Uphold strong data governance, quality and engineering standards
Requirements
- Strong commercial background in data engineering - Confident Python coding skills for data processing and pipeline development - Hands-on experience building ETL data pipelines in production - Familiarity with AWS or comparable cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP - Previous experience within technology or SaaS organisations - Degree in computer science or a related technical or numerate discipline - Strong collaboration and communication skills
Nice to have
- Experience with Databricks, Kafka or data governance frameworks such as GRC
